Liner Notes

Bill Bares’s “Golden Age" Trio features jazz professors Dr. Bill Bares, piano; Steve Alford, bass; and Alan Hall, drums. The group’s swing- and bebop- infused spontaneity recalls the jazz produced in the 1950s and 1960s, where trios led by Erroll Garner, Ramsey Lewis, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Ahmad Jamal and Red Garland contributed to what will forever be known as jazz’s “Golden Age."
