While most widely known as the bass player for western North Carolina’s seminal band Acoustic Syndicate, Jay Sanders brings his guitar out on Monday nights to deliver his unique and thoughtful take on jazz and improvisational music. Heavily influenced by a fusion of Bill Frisell and Sonny Sharrock, Sanders’ playing varies widely between fresh takes on popular song forms and organic explorations of the avant-garde.
Joining Jay this week will be Asheville's most famous pedal steel wielding supermodel. No one gets lower that Matt Smith.... no one.
