Conversations About Inspiration Hosted by Sondra Hall

You're invited to a special evening at Little Jumbo called Conversations About Inspiration on November 11th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

This project is born out of my long-time marriage to musician and composer, Alan Hall. I'm fascinated and mystified that his artistic inspiration comes in the form of sound and rhythm. As a wordsmith, mine is sparked by words.

This contrast led me to wonder about how artists from all different disciplines transform inspiration into art. Are there common threads between, say, a sculptor and a composer? What about a dancer and an abstract painter?

On November 11th from 6:30 - 8:30 I'll be facilitating a dialogue, followed by audience Q & A, between two women artists from Asheville: Catherine Baumhauer and Kelle Jolly. Catherine is a mixed media artist and Kelle's artistic expression comes through her voice, as a storyteller and singer, and through her instrument, the ukulele.
