CREATIVE MUSIC SERIES

Little Jumbo's creative music series exists to provide space for the genesis of new ideas and to democratize access to world-class art. Every Monday and Tuesday, we host international-level artists performing original, forward-thinking, boundary-pushing work—not background music or tired standards, but music that moves the genre forward. Every performance is free to the public with no cover charge, no minimum, and no barriers.

This series is curated, not booked. While we occasionally accept solicitations, our focus is on showcasing the amazing depth and talent of the local Asheville creative music scene. We actively seek out musicians pushing boundaries and exploring new sonic territories, creating intentional programming that serves both artists and audiences.

We believe creating space for musical innovation is itself a form of inclusivity. Democratizing access to cutting-edge art is who we are—it's the same philosophy behind everything we do. World-class craft and radical accessibility aren't competing values; both require excellence, both value innovation over tradition, and both prioritize community without compromise.

This series is not separate from what we do behind the bar—it's a perfect complement. Little Jumbo functions as a cultural incubator: a space where musicians explore new sonic territories, where audiences encounter ideas they've never heard before, and where the act of creation happens in real time. We curate both drinks and music with the same philosophy: create space for experimentation, support artists in taking creative risks, and ensure our community has access to the best work being made right now.

Through daily practice, we strive to be a cultural anchor where creativity, quality, and community are equal values. The music series embodies this incubator role—a place our community can count on for something exceptional, challenging, and real, where listeners experience music in its purest form: live, unfiltered, and in the moment of creation.
